Stumbled across this yellow rat snake yesterday. After this experience, I am wondering how many times I have been in a crawlspace or waded through dense foundation plantings where snakes are living and haven't been bitten by a venomous snake. I would guess that most snakes are more skittish than we are.

Luckily most snakes in Florida are nonvenomous with the exception of the Cottonmouth, Eastern Diamondback Rattler, Copperhead, and Coral Snake.

Florida also has a breed in the wild of boa constrictors and anacondas mixed. Bad ass snakes living in the wild. They are breeding so well they are endangering the local wildlife.

Not much of snake expert here. Who can I identify this little fellow from a recent inspection?
