Need a new Combustable Gas Detector

I was hoping Someone could recommend a good reliable Combustible Gas Detector that won't break the bank. The one I have been using (a Tif 8800 donated to Me by a Friend), stopped working. Thanks for any input!

UEI makes a nice one that's a bit cheaper than the TIF. It works just as well (just as badly?) as the TIF. I have both, but my TIF stopped working as well.

You can also try Ebay.

Also, consider replacing the batteries in your TIF, I suspect that's what's wrong with mine.

Thanks very much for the replies and generous offer! I think it is the battery and I am going to see if I can find a replacement , I am not getting power at all so I am sure that is it.

real deal Tiff batteries are quite expensive. We have had them made up at one of those mall battery stores for around thirty bucks.

Our tiffs sit around for long periods and always need charging.
