aaaaah, I remember my first rubber hose! Seems like it was just yesterday.

My all time favorite was a leg from panty hose; ends cut out and saturated with clear two part epoxy to patch a cast iron pipe. No, I do not have a photo.

I once had a favorite leg - but that is another story. I also once had a male friend who wore panty hose under his jeans in the winter because he swore they kept him warmer then long johns - but that is yet another story.

I saw one of those rad hose traps in 1963, at the gas station where I swept the floor.

I've heard that wearing them under your socks will help prevent blisters while hiking in steep mountain terrain. I've been meaning to try this out for a while now.

I know it may seem weird, but I learned to wear them from real deal Ironworkers in Chicago! No white or colors, just plain ole Taupe with a cotton crotch. After a few days outside on the iron, you can sing all the soprano parts in Carmen!
