Bill Kibbel Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I was contacted by a potential buyer of an 1893 "Victorian" house for sale in Terrell, TX (40 min. outside of Dallas). She was disappointed that we don't have any members there, so she asked if we knew anyone with old house experience she could contact. I thought I'd check here, where all the best hang out.
DonTx Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 ...She was disappointed that we don't have any members there... Looks like you're gonna have to bring that educational road show of yours down here to Dixie so some of us can qualify for membership!! That's too far for me unless she wants to pony up some $$$, besides, the oldest home I've done to date is 1919 in downtown Houston. We do a fare number of the older homes down there, but nothing like that one.
FHIHOUSTON Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 You could get in touch with Don Stafford in the Big D area. He's a member of ASHI, and has lots of old home experience. don@staffordinspections.com Jim C
Chad Fabry Posted April 15, 2005 Report Posted April 15, 2005 I'm so slow, I'm half tempted to fly down there just for something to do. Kibbel, I referred a few folks to you, did they ever call? Nabbed their names off another board that was not Inspection News.
Bill Kibbel Posted April 16, 2005 Author Report Posted April 16, 2005 Jim C, Thanks, I passed the info along to her. I love the picture on Don's homepage. www.staffordinspections.com That's what I look like every day. When nobody shows up with a key, I go in through the doggy door. Chad, I don't know. Nobody mentioned your name, but thanks.
