John Kogel Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 If those posts look crooked, you're not drunk enough. Back to the pub. []
kurt Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 That efflorescence indicates the posts are taking care of destroying themselves very effectively.
gtblum Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I like when I enlarge the pic and the first thing I see is a pretty much by the book built, P&K scaffold. Nice!
Marc Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 Wish I coulda heard the bricklayer when he was cussin', trying to get those columns right. Some people, when they cuss', it's like music. It's got rhythm, no? Marc
caryseidner Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I kinda like them, though they look like they need caps or copings.
kurt Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 You're right. I actually like the idea, but the execution was lousy. The coping and caps are lousy, and the flashing omission guarantees they're going to mush in less than a decade.
Jim Baird Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I always liked them hyperbolic parabolas...I bet you the guy who made the gate did the columns, more artistic than practical.
Jim Katen Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I kinda like them, though they look like they need caps or copings. They need nekkid Greek ladies standing on them.
Steven Hockstein Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 They remind me of Gumby's legs if they were made of bricks. Are they motorized?
Tom Raymond Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I kinda like them, though they look like they need caps or copings. They need nekkid Greek ladies standing on them. Greek nekkids since these are the lesser known 'dorky' columns? They'll still be ugly, and the nudes will be less interesting because of the lousy setting.
caryseidner Posted September 26, 2011 Report Posted September 26, 2011 I kinda like them, though they look like they need caps or copings. They need nekkid Greek ladies standing on them. I do too!
