allseason Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 What is the name for a roof shaped like and inverted cone?
Bill Kibbel Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 An "inverted cone" would look like an ice cream cone. A cone-shaped roof, like those that are common to Queen Anne style homes, is a conical roof. Colloquially referred to as a "witches hat" roof.
allseason Posted September 9, 2011 Author Report Posted September 9, 2011 Yes, I meant cone shaped. I shouldn't have had all that cough syrup for breakfast.
wedgren Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I usually refer to that type of roof as a Turret Roof .
Bill Kibbel Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I usually refer to that type of roof as a Turret Roof . Turret is not a roof style, but some turrets have conical roofs.
Bill Kibbel Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I shouldn't have had all that cough syrup for breakfast. You probably need something stronger.[:-drunk]
