rlskfoster Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 I had a lady call me today looking for information about wood floor installa. She told me thay were having a house built and the wood flooring looked horrible. She stated that they had an inspector look at the house and he told them poor workmanship was evident. I told her that I would only be able to do the same because I don't know the specifics about installation. Does anyone know of a flooring forum or website like the Brick website that I could go to or refer this lady to. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks. Buster
DonTx Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 If she can provide you with the manufacturers name and model number of the wood floor, you can go to their website and get their installation instructions. rlskfoster Posted March 25, 2005 Author Report Posted March 25, 2005 Thanks for the web sites and I'll pass that on about the manufacturers installation instructions. Thanks again Donald. Buster
Jim Katen Posted March 25, 2005 Report Posted March 25, 2005 The National Association of Homebuilders' "Residential Construction Performance Guidelines" was published specifically to address disagreements between buyers and builders such as this one. It has several sections on wood flooring. - Jim Katen, Oregon
