Rob Amaral Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Bought the 'eye-stick' this past winter. Used it 7 times so far (1 commercial job, 6 residential jobs) Bottom line: "It's a very good problem-solver" and a heck of a lot easier to set up/use than a 32' ladder. Thumbs-up. Next: One of those mini-heli cams.. (maybe). R
gpdewitt Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 Have you used your stick for crawlspace or attics, and how did that work out? Also, I think I can throw one of these together for about $500 with wi-fi enabled 5mp color camera with monitor and sectional stick from concrete finishers tools. What advantage does the eye stick have over DIY, other than convenience of only one purchase? Thanks in advance.
Rob Amaral Posted June 27, 2011 Author Report Posted June 27, 2011 Convenience.. I'm way, way too busy to put this stuff together.. "I'm that way about stuff' (: I've used it to view some flat roofs and gear on them and a roof-leak issue on a shed dormer at the third floor of a house. (put the stick out the window). I'm sure it will be used by me for some chimney stuff eventually... but I tend to either figure out chimney issues from grade/clean-out or by getting on a roof..
hausdok Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 George, I'm looking for a way to monitor and coach a helper wearing a cigarette camera via a wireless video feed. I'd need to be able to talk to him via a headset and he'd need to be able to respond. Got any ideas? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
