NJinspector Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 At a recent re-inspection I was surprised to see that this panel had been unchanged. Then the owner handed me a receipt from a licensed electrician stating that this panel is safe per the NEC. Am I missing something? Click to Enlarge 59.28 KB Click to Enlarge 45.04 KB
Jim Port Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Those lugs are for ONE conductor. This is improper.
hausdok Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Find out who licenses electricians in your state. If they have an electricians board staffed by a group of electricians, send them a copy of the photo along with a copy of the letter from the electrician and ask them to profer an opinion. Bet they'll drop the hammer. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike

NJinspector Posted June 14, 2011 Author Report Posted June 14, 2011 I asked the owner if the electrician even opened up the panel. He said "Yup, stared at it for quite some time and couldn't find anything wrong". I then proceeded to show him what was wrong and advised that him that he should find another electrician.
