Dangerous ground connection? Opinins please...

Hello everyone,

I came across this at an inspection today. It appears that the ground is attached to the gas line. Any opinions would be much appreciated.

Could it be the bond to the gas line? Did you track the wire down to it's source?

It sure could be a GEC connection to the gas line.......

Looks like a bonding connection to the gas line. Since CSST is present, the gas lines are *required* to be bonded to the electrical system with #6 copper.

Are you aware of the difference between grounding and bonding?

Yes, I am aware...That is right. Now that I look at it it is bonded. Thanks for the clarification, it is much appreciated.
