Chad Fabry Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 I've seen this phrase countless times spelled exactly this way on multiple sites. We are dedicated to providing PIECE OF MIND to Buyer's. That's copied directly off a site two minutes ago. Friends, have someone proof your web sites.
hausdok Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Yep, Know dout abowt it. Wee hoam inspecters kant spele werth a damm. Wun Teem - Wun Fyte!!! Myk
Jim Morrison Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Not only that, but I'm not in the "Peace of Mind" business, I'm in the truth-telling business. Sometimes what I have to say gives people peace of mind, sometimes I put their knickers in a twist. Adsvertising that you provide "peace of mind" makes you sound like a real estate transaction facilitator to me.
Les Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 You guys are reading it all wrong!! The inspector is providing a "piece of (their) mind. After 87 inspections, the inspector is renewed by attendance at a seminar or meeting by a national association of home inspectors! One time I was almost done with an inspection and found out I had no piece to give and couldn't charge the customer.
kurt Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Maybe he meant piece of meat, as in "the customer is a ........".
DonTx Posted March 10, 2005 Report Posted March 10, 2005 Geez Chad, I hope that wasn't on my site. I have a lot of misspelled words, change them when I find them but it's like proofing your own reports. Many times you know what it's suppose to say and you eyes deceive you but it jumps out at the next person who reads it.
Erby Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 It's more wide spread than you think!!!! Google ("piece of mind" inspections) Goooood gooolllyy, gooooogggglllyy.
kteitel Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 All I can say is, "Holy ****!!!!" at the number of hits that came back with the Google search.
