hausdok Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 This just in from Jim Simmons (User name Mr. Electric): First time I have seen a panel in a mobile home (1972 vintage) that evidently never had a ground bar installed at the factory (note neutrals and grounds together)! Also had no messenger on the overhead feeder. Gave him a bid to upgrade it. Jim P. John Kogel Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 There are some messed up connections on that neutral bus, alright. I think I see stranded Al in the same hole as copper. At least the solid branch circuit wiring is copper, could have been all Al in that year. That feeder is doing double duty as a giant drip loop. [] I usually see them go underground from the pole. They run a bit of conduit into the ground and then you find the service feeder and the water pipes laying in the dirt under the trailer.
