Jim Katen Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 A few months ago, somone posted a link to a page that showed the mathmatics associated with wind driving rain up under siding and flashing. As I recall, the conclusion was that it was impossible for wind to drive water up more than about 1" behind lapped building materials such as siding & flashing. Does anyone remember that? Better yet, does anyone know of that page or a link to it? - Jim Katen, Oregon
patt Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Jim I don't have the link you wanted but I do have a reprint from NRCA that's similar. Download Attachment: Why 1-inch overlap works.pdf 48.55 KB
