Terence McCann Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Each toilet tank was sitting on a cylindrical device that had a hose attached to it, like a small vacuum sweeper hose, that went into the wall and was snaked up to the attic. One toilet on the first floor kept gurgling. Click to Enlarge 22.95 KB Up in the attic there is a menagerie of fans that are being vented outside. The small white tubing that you see is coming from the toilets. The white tubing is going into it's own fan which is then venting into the the bigger flex duct that is going into what looks like Radon exhaust fans. Click to Enlarge 56.59 KB Click to Enlarge 45.38 KB There is a Radon removal system install in the home but they tapped into the sump crock for it. I have to hit the net but wanted to ask here as well.
kurt Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 A custom fecal extraction system, wherein the doodoo is vaporized and vented into the atmosphere.........(?).... That's pretty crazy......tell us when you find out what it really is.
hausdok Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 It's quite simple really, It's used during an alien invasion to repel really, really queasy aliens. Upon word that the mothership is hovering overhead, each member of the family drinks one gallon of phospho soda and then mans their toilet,...er, firing station. The captain of the home,...er, earthship, activates the system and collection tubes emerge from under the occupants bum's,.....er, weapons breaches and begin sending ammunition to the firing ports which are disguised as common ventilation fans in the attic. The airspace overhead, and thus the surrounding countryside for hundreds of yards, becomes filled with aerosolized fecal matter; and the aliens, super grossed out, beat a quick retreat and go invade someone else's neighborhood. I'm simply amazed that I have to explain this kind of thing. Don't they teach anything in schools anymore? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Richard Moore Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Anywhere near one of those natural gas "fracking" sites?
hausdok Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Fracking as in petro "fracking" or as in Battlestar Galactica kind of "fracking"? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Terence McCann Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 There's only room for one asshole (I say that in humor less my meaning be misconstrude) on this board and I've held that position for a number of years. [:-party] Comeon' I will stoop to begging if need be.
emalernee Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Stank air vents. Those type of people will go to great lengths to show that their s**t don't stink.
Terence McCann Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 Stank air vents. Those type of people will go to great lengths to show that their s**t don't stink. It was in Hudson - lol (one of the nicer area's close to Ezra and myself).
Terence McCann Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 Just got off the phone with a plumber I use to work with - what he said made sense. The fan draws a small vacuum from the toilet bowl, from under the rim, and is used as additional fume removal. Ezra gets the grand poopy prize. This will look good on your resume kid.
hausdok Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Has anyone bothered to ask the homeowner what the hell it is? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Terence McCann Posted April 8, 2011 Author Report Posted April 8, 2011 Has anyone bothered to ask the homeowner what the hell it is? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike That's in my report Mike however the home owner wasn't around at the time of inspection and I'm trying to get this out da door.
allseason Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 If the house has high radon in the water it may be a way to remove the aerosolizeded irradiated water after each flush. Radon in water is hazardous if you inhale the mist from showering, etc.
Scottpat Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 That is just bazaar if it is a radon mitigation system. Was the house on well water? Not that I'm a mitigation specialist but if I recall from my training that is not how you get rid of radon in the water. For some reason I thought that it needed to be aerated prior to entering the house and the radon expelled from the tank that the water was aerated in. Maybe this is some fancy new solution but somehow I don't think so...
allseason Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Probably not mit system, but it sounds cool. Looks like odor removal.
AHI in AR Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 Stank air vents. Those type of people will go to great lengths to show that their s**t don't stink. It seems to me that by virtue of the simple fact that they "need" an Airborne Stench System With Integrated Power Elimination (ASSWIPE) that their s**t does, indeed, stink.
Erby Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 With all the crap that this thread has generated, I don't even know where to begin.

Jim Baird Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 In a hotel in Milan, Italy the john in the bath was built up on a box that had a wire feeding a motorized "vegamatic" that activated by the flush handle and Roncoed the flushed product on the way to the vertical stack that must have lurked in the wall. Never seen nuthin like b4 or since. BTW, it leaked and reeked, but since we were in there at dark and outa there by sunrise it was too much trouble to complain and move, besides I got the feeling every room had 'em.
