allseason Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 [:-headachI received an email today from somone who visisted my web site and they asked if I did septic insp. or tank location. I replied no but recommend reputable companies for my HI clients if they need it. They replied and asked if I would make the recommendations so that they may get everything done at the same time. Keep in mind that at this point they have not yet asked about my HI services, what we do, pricing, etc. ( I don't list rates on my web site) so they are giving me the feeling that they have allready booked the HI and that guy told them to find someone else to do the other stuff. I replied that I reserve my recommendations for clients who have chosen to use my company to perfom the HI. Their replies stopped. In the past I have helped others by making recommendations and then I don't hear from them again and I feel as though I'm wasting my time. Does anyone else have this problem?
David Meiland Posted April 7, 2011 Report Posted April 7, 2011 I get stuff like that all the time. People call and ask who to hire for this or that, when they haven't hired me to do anything or they've already hired someone else. I try to be polite but I excuse myself absolutely as quickly as possible.
Brandon Whitmore Posted April 8, 2011 Report Posted April 8, 2011 If I have a list of guys who do a good job, I want to keep them in business...
