Need a software download recommendation

Has anyone run across a really good (accurate) program to convert PDFs to Word?

Free would be great, but affordable would be helpful.

I have been using Nitro PDF Pro and am happy with it.

I think word has that function built into it.... Save the PDF to a Word doc or to Rich Text, that is what I have been doing and it seem to work fairly well. Sometimes the fonts and spacing need to be adjusted but that is not all that difficult.

What's needed is a program that extracts from pdf. I don't know of any that will do both text and images and precisely retain the original format.

I do it in Google Docs.

I store everything there too. It's a fully functional (for my limited needs) cloud system, free.

Hmm... You mean I can save a PDF there and then open and edit it as a word doc? Shiver my timbers. Tell me it's that easy.

Yeah, it really is that easy. It's all the usual interfaces with pull down menus for saving to various formats. Fumble around in them, and you'll figure it out. It all syncs with Chrome in good ways. I don't know if it's going to fulfill your end all and be all requirements, but it's as close as I've found.

And, it's free.
