hagasan Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 This is a vacant home in the town I work for. The second floor bathroom water pipe busted and a radiant pipe busted on the opposite side of the house. We pulled the meter and shut the water off. Nice old house too, such a shame. John Kogel Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Yes, that is sad. How stupid is that? You'd think if the bankers want their value back on these houses, they would at least pay a few bucks to have them properly winterized. Or leave some heat on?

Yeah, whats it cost to keep a home at 50 during the winter? Maybe 50 bucks a month. So they've saved 200-300 bucks over the year to take a chance of something like this. How many homes do you have to dump at a small profit to make up for one disaster like this?
