This is a vacant home in the town I work for. The second floor bathroom water pipe busted and a radiant pipe busted on the opposite side of the house. We pulled the meter and shut the water off. Nice old house too, such a shame.

Yes, that is sad. How stupid is that? You'd think if the bankers want their value back on these houses, they would at least pay a few bucks to have them properly winterized. Or leave some heat on?

Yeah, whats it cost to keep a home at 50 during the winter? Maybe 50 bucks a month. So they've saved 200-300 bucks over the year to take a chance of something like this. How many homes do you have to dump at a small profit to make up for one disaster like this?
