Scottpat Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 This is what I found in a "root celler" of an old home I just inspected. I had to back into the space and once I got down the narrow chute I was able to turn around. Most of the dates were in the 1920's and from what I understand the celler had not been accessed in over 50 years. Mark P Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Very Nice. I bet someone would pay a bit of money for those in good condition.
kurt Posted December 15, 2010 Report Posted December 15, 2010 Yes, it is a good find. When I find papers, the stuff is usually badly yellowed and delicate as mosquito wings.
Scottpat Posted December 15, 2010 Author Report Posted December 15, 2010 All I can think of it that it was dry and dark inside the cellar. Many had become a snack for some termites and beetles.
hausdok Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 A very early precursor to housewrap. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
