hausdok Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Anyone used one of these yet? ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Ben H Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 Looked at one at HD the other day, thats a decent price on ebay, bout' 30.00 cheaper....I just don't know about Ryobi. I've used lots of their power tools (dude on the job sight used them) and I was not impressed. But for a hunky, it might be worth it.
Les Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 never saw one. We use a see-snake by Milwaukee. OK nothing super.
Scottpat Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 It would be nice if you could take a picture of what you were looking at.
Ben H Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 It would be nice if you could take a picture of what you were looking at. Just use your third hand to snap a photo with your camera of your camera[:-eyebrow
mgbinspect Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I saw one, for the first time, in HD about two weekends ago and resolved that I've got to own one. I just cant part with the money right now. But It sure would be nice for inspecting evaporator coils, boiler foireboxes and such. I WANT ONE BAD!
David Meiland Posted September 20, 2010 Report Posted September 20, 2010 I bought a Ridgid a couple of years ago, and think it's a mistake to get one that doesn't take digital pics and/or have a video out.
Tom Raymond Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 It's not as useful as you think. I recently borrowed a Rigid scope, and while it was cool to play with for a few minutes, it quickly got pretty annoying to use. You have to be able to put your hands on the flex shaft to point it in the direction you want it to go. I ended up twisting and turning the hand held to the point that when the camera pointed at what I wanted to see, so did the screen. Useless. If you can't record or output an image, your better off with a good selection of mirrors.
