Mike Lamb Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 I canââ¬â¢t say I have seen bad condensation issues in an attic in summer around here. Click to Enlarge 35.88 KB Vacant house. This ceiling near the north side had large moisture stains in about 4 areas. A couple about 18ââ¬
Jim Katen Posted August 21, 2010 Report Posted August 21, 2010 . . . Could mice leave such puddles? Iââ¬â¢ve ruled out bigger critters. Yes. - Jim Katen, Oregon (Particularly if they've gotten into the Blatz.)

clint mckie Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 I have seen a bunch of homes with the same problem. In most cases they were caused by the abundunce of the mice in the attis. yes they can leave quite a urine path.
hausdok Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 Hi Mike, A couple of years ago I inspected a huge Chinese restaurant in Ballard (a Seattle neighborhood) and saw what looked like water stains from a roof leak on the ceiling over the dining room. I got out the LG knockoff, extended it up there in high stepladder form, climbed up, lifted that ceiling panel and discovered that it wasn't a roof leak at all - just the toilet for a rat warren. Rodents will normally have an area close to where they are nesting where they do most of the pissing and crapping. Ask yourself, "If it's condensation, what the heck in this vacant house can cause that much vapor diffusion to occur in only scattered spots throughout the house?" When you think about it, you'll probably answer, "Nothing." ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
waynesoper Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 I a Blatz just a combination of a Bud and Pabst, Not to go off subject, but Blatz is more interesting. Seen one mouse poop, seen em all!
Mike Lamb Posted October 2, 2010 Author Report Posted October 2, 2010 This thread is a little old but I recall a few bottles of Drewry's in the attic near the scene of the crime. I should have taken pictures. Over-served mice on a road trip. Thanks all.
kurt Posted October 2, 2010 Report Posted October 2, 2010 No, thank you........there's never enough threads with urine in the subject line. [:-thumbu]
