Marc Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Can anyone vouch for the integrity of National Building Inspections? They're asking me to complete some inspections, but the website doesn't say much about them. Marc
hausdok Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Hi, Aren't they the franchise outfit out of Nebraska or Kansas? I'm pretty sure we once did a front page article on here someplace about something their operation was doing or had done. Maybe that was some other oufit - I dunno, too long ago. Search the archives! ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Marc Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Posted August 3, 2010 A 'who's who' search of the website revealed that the company was started up 2 years ago and is owned by a home inspector in Michigan, name of Charles, AKA Chuck Marino. Ring a bell to anyone? Marc
kurt Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I think he's over in Brighton, MI. He's an HI trying to start up a national operation; don't know much beyond that.
Scottpat Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Give it a try and see how it goes. We have seen a few "national" companies come and go over the years. I think the first one I got screwed by was RESS, Roger got me for about $900 when they closed up shop. Now a days, no bad news is good news!
hausdok Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I had it wrong, The outfit I was thinking of was National Property Inspections/. ONE TEAM - ONE FIGHT!!! Mike
Mark P Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 I get jobs from two national relocation companies. I have not had any problems with either. In the summer I may get 1 or 2 jobs a month, every little bit helps. If I were you I'd give it a try.
Marc Posted August 3, 2010 Author Report Posted August 3, 2010 The inspection is set for Thursday on a restaurant bdlg. I'm gonna try it. Marc
mgbinspect Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 Yep, I workedwith one for ten years and two others for three - No problems. The check shows up and it's always good. It's also nice to work with folks that speak the same language too.
Marc Posted August 6, 2010 Author Report Posted August 6, 2010 The inspection went along just fine. Technically, it wasn't an inspection, I felt more like a photographer than anything else. He didn't want a report, just the photos and some documents filled out. Sounds like quite a feat trying to inspect a building with just pictures. It was a Pizza Hut. Marc
Nolan Kienitz Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 It was a Pizza Hut. Marc So ... I'd like pie with pepperoni and Canadian bacon. Prefer thin-sliced.
Les Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Hey Marc, that outfit is only a few miles away from me. So if anything goes wrong just call and investigate. Seriously, I have heard nothing negative about them.
mgbinspect Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 Actually sounds interesting, Mark - different than the gigs I'm doing, which are ERC related. Good luck with it.
