  4. I just did a 6,000 Sq ft home and the further away you were from the panel the larger the voltage drop. I reported what I found, explain what was voltage drop and I recommended that the electrician correct it. Captain
  5. I'm confused, the client has already hired you to do the inspection, so why a speech? Introduce yourself and start inspecting. I don't tell them what I am going to do and in eleven years no client has ever asked me what I'm I going to do. In the end they get a report which hopefully tells them exactly what you did and what you did not. Captain
  6. My preinspection speech. When was the house built? Is it city water and sewer? Oh yeah sometimes I say good morning or good afternoon. Captain

  11. One of your two hots was out because of the power company. That's was why you had no lights. When you turned on the saw you only had half or 120 to the saw. When you turned off the saw the power was returned to the other leg and your lights went on. Captain

  15. I do foreclosures and repos, and if business picks up it will be the first to be dropped. It takes 1.5 to 2x the time of a "normal" inspection and the going rate is 1/3 to 1/2 my normal rate. But I make it up in volume. Captain
  16. What does your client want you to inspect? Captain

  19. Well, you see, it's like, the singular /plural thing but in reverse. You can use both singular and plural in one sentence if you are describing two separate things. More than one neutral (plural) on one terminal screw and the use of are (plural) meaning that there are more than one instance of this occurrence.. Captain
  20. There are more than one neutrals placed under one terminal in the electric panel. Have electrician correct. Captain
