We put on new wall thermostat. Where can we buy parts if we figure out what needs replacing?

Our fan works,blowing cold air, but the heating system just won’t turn on. We’re gonna try and get an electrician to test the parts but where will we be able to buy parts if we find out what’s wrong. We’re in Point Roberts Washington and anyone coming here from the rest of Washington state has to come through Canada so we’re hoping to find out what’s wrong so that the service person only has to come once.
