Thanks guys. I’m still going through internachi training to become a CPI. When I’m finished, I’ll be starting business offering only ancillary services to other home inspectors and realtors. I will start with only 1 service. I’m deciding between, radon, sewer scope, mold testing, or maybe infrared scanning. Whatever I choose I'll be getting the appropriate training to use it. Which of these would you guys recommend? I'm in Utah BTW.

Ok. Do other inspectors do your services for you or are they companies that only do ancillary services?

What service? How much do you charge? How many do you do per week?

How do you justify it? Do you include lots of ancillary services, buy back guarantee, etc.?

Thanks. A guy on the internachi forum said he uses a 16.5 foot extend ladder. If he can't reach the roof with that then he either uses a drone, camera on pole, or recommends further inspection by a roofer. Is that a good way to do it?

Awesome to hear! My honda insight has the exact same trunk size as the accord. Do you think it seems unprofessional to show up in a car though? Wouldn't the truck or suv/ crossover be better?

Whether it's offering ancillary services, being a bit cheaper, getting attention of real estate agents, etc. What strategy has led to the most success for you?
