    I own several Gunnison homes and the electric is in the baseboards because the wall are to thin for electric outlets. I usually do a complete remodel and that includes removing the baseboards to get to the electric. The old wiring is removed and replaced with new wiring and new outlets are installed to meet local electric requirements. Kitchen above the counter you can put outlets in the walls by using thin boxes.
