I personally used Amprobe Voltage Tester..This unit is an automatic AC/DC voltage tester for residential and commercial use. It can test lights, appliances and is compact, pocket-sized and easy to use. It has bright neon lights which indicate AC and DC voltages even in well-lit rooms and has a built-in test-leads holder. Fluke is also good but I liked it more

Copper is the good choice over PEX for outside plumbing..As, Copper has natural quality that make it ideal for plumbing. It creates a bio-static atmosphere which makes it difficult for bacteria to grow inside of it. It also resists corrosion and is unaffected by ultraviolet rays, which allows you to use it outdoors. While PEX is not suitable for use outside, it is much more resistant to freezing temperatures and bursting.

I totally agree with this..Please do concentrate on this
