  1. This post made me chuckle. I believe a left handed door latch would do the trick, but if that doesn't work change it out with the back door doorknob. Also be sure to post pictures to this thread, so we know that your doing it right .
  2. There are several products out there that already test mold once its been found in the house. One such product a friend used was called mold armor - mold test kit. He got it at Home Depot or Lowe's I believe for ten bucks. That being said, I don't see an audience for your product. I don't get the audience for mold home test kits period. If you see mold, REMOVE it. No need for a test kit in my opinion because all mold, is bad mold. You should get it removed regardless of what type it is, and by someone with previous experience in mold removal. It could be worse, my aunt in California paid several thousands of dollars to get her whole place re-dry walled. Something about Chinese drywall haha? I found a piece on it here, pretty ridiculous to think you could get away with this. Homeowners Insurance Fiasco
  3. My hubby is a land-man, and runs and extraction business on the side. When he is out just looking over a property he wears Justin classic cut boots. No steel toe, but he has had these boots for over five years, and claims they are the most comfortable boot he owns (he has wide feet EE). When he is around heavy machinery, he uses the Timberland Pro Pit boss', is what they are called I think. Keeps his feet warm, steel toe, and also very comfortable. Hope this gives you a few leads, good luck!
  4. Way to be the bigger man Eric. SOBs like this arm a dime a dozen these days. I also have to agree with John. You go back and check the leak in an attempt to uncover how screwed the guy is, and have a laugh at his expense. Similar story happened to my neighbor, except he skimped payment on his pool, now it has a crack in the foundation (HA!). He would have a warranty from the pool company, but now he is up sh*t creek without a paddle. Ahh Karma, gotta love it!
  5. Black Widows aren't what I fear. I remember in the eighth grade, our science teacher was bitten by a brown Recluse. I live in Dallas fyi, and we have both the black widow and the brown recluse. Back to my teacher, he was bitten but was unable to identify the spider. Brown Recluses are easy to identify, a violin looking design on the top of their thorax. They also have a weird eye pattern, three pairs of eyes evenly spaced apart. Their bite can be extremely painful if it is not treated or is left unattended. For my teacher, this meant a skin ulcer the size of medium sand dollar. It took almost 8 months to heal, and return to normal. I don't want to scare you too much though, as this case is rare and often the side effects associated with the bites are less severe. Still, I'm going to have to side with Harry Reid on this one NIMBY! ( Not In My Back Yard haha.)
