Interesting. A thermally protected fan would have been a good thing then?
I wonder if they will take the hint and do some maintenance and upgrading..

I've been writing up dirty and noisy bathroom exhaust fans for several years after a I read an article that I posted here about a local FD responding to two house fires in one month caused by bathroom fans.
